Richard Lovegreen Chair

Richard Lovegreen serves as General Manager for Greentech Renewables’ Southeast Division, overseeing operations from Virginia to Puerto Rico. He earned his B.S. in Business Management from the Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University in 2004 and joined CED the following year. During his career, Richard has opened and successfully led locations in Roanoke and Lynchburg, Virginia, and later managed Greentech Renewables in West Columbia, South Carolina.

As a member of the South Carolina Solar Council’s board, Richard is committed to advocating for the solar industry and strengthening the network of installers, vendors, and other industry partners throughout the state. One of his highest priorities is helping South Carolina develop a high-caliber network of solar professionals who are committed to quality, integrity, and serving the state’s residents for the long term.

Outside of work, Richard enjoys spending time with his wife, Erika, and their three children. The family stays busy traveling and shares a passion for exploring new places across South Carolina, throughout the country, and abroad. Richard also serves on the church council at All Souls Anglican Church in Lexington, where his family has been active members since moving to South Carolina in 2019.

Mark Leidlein

Mark is a NABCEP Associate and an adjunct instructor specializing in renewable energy at Greenville Technical College. Since 2015, he has successfully operated a successful remodeling business,  integrating solar solutions into his suite of services. With a strong foundation in commercial construction and low-slope roofing, Mark brings a wealth of expertise to every project.

He holds an MBA in Marketing from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from The University of Michigan, reflecting a blend of technical proficiency and strategic insight that enhances his contributions to the renewable energy and construction industries.

He looks forward to working with the South Carolina Solar Council Board to expand opportunities in solar energy.

Aaron Davis

Aaron began his career in solar in 2014, working as sales rep in California. He moved to South Carolina in 2016 and founded Firefly Solar (then known as Palmetto State Solar). Since 2016, Firefly Solar has expanded to serve 4 states in the Southeast and employs more than 40 people. Aaron has a passion for 'solar done right' and champions ethical sales practices as well as professional and compliant installations.
